What is the Space Accelerator Program?

An 8-week hybrid accelerator designed to:

  • Equip startups with tools to scale in the space economy
  • Offer direct paths to federal funding (SBIR/STTR)
  • Attract strategic partnerships and commercial growth
  • Create local jobs and long-term economic sustainability

Developed by the Space Commerce Institute (a division of Space Foundation) and sponsored by the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), Cameron County and Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation, the accelerator brings world-class instruction, hands-on mentorship, and tailored insights to companies in the Rio Grande Valley.
